Event Summary :
This talk is broadly about some of the technology trends, particularly in the digital arena, in the year 2018. Some such trends will stand the test of time and some will not, for various reasons. During this session, basic concepts will be explored in order to establish context. A well established and validated framework will be introduced, which will explain why some such trends succeed and some may not. Subsequently the talk will touch on selected technology advancements which are in the pipeline, or are already in production but yet to enjoy widespread adoption. Among the current technology trends of today, data analytics is particularly pervasive, and is applicable to almost every field. Extracting meaning from data and information is becoming extremely important that one cannot underestimate its impact on sustaining competitive advantage. This talk will cover salient points in the area of data analytics and its applications.
